Sorry for being MIA

Sorry to have been missing in action for a few days my car decided to die on me so have been trying to deal with that for a week now.. When you do not have transportation it is hard to get anywhere so my son and I have just been setting at home playing outside, my house has stayed alot neater (is that even a word) cause with nowhere to go I stay right on it and with an almost three year old that just means the toys have mainly stayed in the playroom.. My dad is coming up today and hopefully he will get things figured out cause lets face it I am a girl yes that excuse is being used.. While on this subject it is really funny that about a week ago in one of my blogs I posted about knowing about cars and would not need a husband and now the car has quit working believe that is called jinksing (another made up word it's my blog can do it if I want) yourself have had this car for 10 years and refuse to give up plus its nice to not have a payment haha.. So my saturday did not go so well but hey that is life if you don't have bad days how will you know when you are having good ones.. Guess I had better go my dad will be here soon we are going to play with my son for a few then work on the car wish us luck hopefully will be back soon with some thrifty finds!!

How I Goodwill/Thrift Store Shop

Ok so here is how I find the most amazing deals at the goodwill or thrift store.. First off my son goes everywhere with me so to keep him occupied for me to look first place we go is the toy section then the book bin after he is taken care of it is the shoes section for the kids (a little tip just because the shoes are not in perfect condition does not mean you shouldnt get them they can be cleaned with a magic eraser and a clorox bleach pen and for the prices it is worth checking out) then it is on to the boys section to look for clothes after that if my son is still in good spirits I look at clothes and shoes for myself (which hardly ever happens haha).. I usually go once or twice a week (they put things out daily so it is best to go a few times a week) so you can find the best deals.. Like I have mentioned before it is best to look for things in the off season so since it is spring/summer I will be looking for fall/winter now especially right now and the next month or so because alot of people are cleaning out closets and getting rid of winter clothes.. Also if you find an item with a light stain on it you may want to take a chance (found a pair of Ralph Lauren khaki shorts that had a place on them took home got the stain out now they are good as new).. Just wanted to pass these tips on so hope they help you and thanks agian keep looking for those thrifty deals!!

Tips for Ebay Shopping

This is how I shop on Ebay (now not everyone is the same this is just my way) I usually try to find items that are ending in a day or two only because if you start watching something with six days left it will probably become to expensive for you to bid on and then you get disapointed but I do check the newly listed for buy it nows that are cheap.. That is one thing about Ebay you have to pay shipping unless you get lucky and it is free shipping look for that because then you can bid alittle more and look for people that combine shipping on their items because most of the time they have quite a few items for sale in the same size.. Also read your descriptions very closely make sure that it states it is in excellent condition I have gotten burned with items that are in "good" condition (they look like they have been run over a few times) which brings us to another problem with Ebay you can not see the item you are purchasing so sometimes there are disapointments.. If you are looking for a certain holiday item it is better to look about a month before that is when everyone is putting their items on sometimes if you do look sooner you can get a better deal.. Also to get items cheaper don't buy the season you are in like right now it is spring and summer so I would be buying for next winter cause the items will be cheaper than if you wait unitl fall.. When bidding on an item I make sure to be home in front of the computer so when it gets down to 15 seconds the bid will go in and with most cases if someone else has not put a bid of more than you wanted to pay it will be yours (I believe this is called snipeing or something) so yes I am giulty of this but atleast you win your item.. I also find if you buy things in lots (this is when there are alot of items in one sale) you get a better deal an example of this is for this winter that just passed I bought a lot of 8 pairs of jeans (Levis, Gymboree, Crazy 8) for only $26 after shipping so that was less than 4.00 for each pair of jeans when you buy the jeans seperate you are guaranteed to pay at least $10 after shipping.. So use these tips if you would like (some people may think this is common sense) but alot of people are different maybe their way works better I can just comment on my trial and errors.. Thanks for reading and Happy Ebaying!!

Here is the mini haul from Baby Gap from 03/03/12.. Blue layered shirt with lightning bolts-5.99
Grey/orange layered shirt with skulls-5.99
Green with construction says "dig it"-8.99 (now that is more than I like to pay but sometimes it is just too darn cute)
My total was around $22 after tax now that is more than I like to pay on three shirts but it is baby gap so it was still a thrifty find the two layered shirts were 18.95 a piece regular price and the green dig it shirt was 14.95 regular price so they would have been 53.00 all together at regular price so the $22 does not sound as bad haha.. So go check out those clearance racks and get yourself a thrifty find!!

Crazy8 Haul from 03/03/12

Here are the pics from the Crazy8 haul I purchased yesterday.. Black Tank "Artist at Work"-2.09 after discount

Like I said in my post from yesterday not sure when the sale ends but if you have a Crazy8 store near you definetly check it out they have some really cute stuff and the prices are very reasonable.. Even if you can't catch the sale their clearance prices are great most of the time their shirts are 3.99-4.99 and pants are usually 8.99 some are higher here is a thrifty little tip for you get on their mailing list and give them your email because they will send you coupons in the mail and to your email so you will save even more cause they let you use the coupons on clearance items as well and they do wash nicely hardly loose the color the shirts do shrink a bit if put in the dryer but the pants do not shrink that much but for the prices you can't beat it.. Thanks for reading and hope I gave you some ideas for your own thrifty finds!!

Thrifty Finds 03/03/12

Hello long time no write :) Just wanted to let anyone know who was interested about some thrify finds 1. Crazy 8 is having a 30% off of clearance prices sale not sure when it ends so go check it out 2. at my walmart (not sure if they are doing it everywhere) they have some tide products clearance priced so use a coupon and get a real thrify find!! I went to my 1st childrens consignment event today!! Hopefully will have pics tomorrow of my finds.. I liked it but to me it was a little pricey when you can find the same items at Once Upon a Child (a childrens consignment store) for the same price or less just depends (but you can also find some things cheaper at the consignment events) so you just have to look at everything and get there early before all of the items are picked over... Also went to the mall today checked out Baby Gap got a few shirts on clearance (hopefully will have pics tomorrow), Crazy8 where they were having the sale mentioned above so got a few things in there and went to Once Upon a Child and found some really cute items and great deals!! If I hear of any other sales will post them as well.. Thanks for reading and hope you get some ideas..
