What The Easter Bunny Is Bringing Our Almost 4 Year Old!!

Ummm... This is going up a little late to help anyone this year but maybe next year? This is what I got my son who is almost 4 years old (and loves angry birds).. First off I got him a good basket (4.97 walmart) so I can use it every year then of course there was the grass (1.28 kmart) and wrap (1.48 kmart)for it.. Then came the good stuff!! The none candy items.. Coloring book with paint (1.00 consignment sale), angry bird coloring book (1.00 family dollar), plush bunny (.97 walmart), stretchy bunny (1.97 walmart), frog glass (.97 walmart), 3 chalk holders (1.00 a piece dollar tree), carrot golf set (1.00 dollar tree), bunny basket ball (1.97 walmart), carrot bubble necklaces (1.00 dollar tree) and angry bird mash ums with plastic chick to put it in (angry bird 2.50 walmart, plastic chick .10 new at thrift store).. This is his "big" item.. It is an angry bird game (17.96 walmart).. He won't actually play the game he likes to build a tower and just shot the angry bird at the piggies.. The candy items.. Reese pieces eggs (1.00 walmart), reese pieces (1.00 walmart), hersheys pieces (1.00 walmart), angry bird eggs (these have stickers and candy in them) (3.00 walmart), ring pops (1.00 walmart), m&ms tubes (1.00 walmart), push pops (1.00 walmart), egg spinner (1.00 dollar tree) and bunny fishing game with candy (2.00 family dollar).. This is everything put together in his basket (without the wrap).. I don't get everything at once it gets picked up at different times for a few months (that is probably why I end up with WAY too much haha).. My son informed me the other night that the Easter Bunny hides eggs in the house so he can find them on Easter morning.. Ok so not sure where he got that from but it is a cute idea so I took some larger eggs put some candy, small toys and even coins in them and hid them around the house.. Hope the Easter Bunny did good haha... Hope you get some ideas and have a happy and blessed Easter!!

03/21/13 Walmart/Kmart clearance-better homes and gardens pillow shams 3.00 a piece (walmart, was really excited about these I bought the comforter that matches 2 years ago never got the shams), wonderkids brown boots 4.99 (kmart), wonderkids black shoes 4.99 (kmart), wrangler jeans 6.00 (walmart), fruit of the loom 6 pack socks 3.50 (walmart) and loreal base and top coat 2.00 a piece (sorry these are not pictured)(kmart usually 5.99 a piece)..

#PottyProblems... Installment #3.. An Update..

Just a little potty update for everyone.. It has been two months since my son decided to get rid of the diapers and use the potty and it has been about the same for me cause he is still not pooping in the potty I have lost all hope he is going to be 10 years old and pooping in his underwear.. Peeing is great when I say great he can make "write" his name when using the potty (he started standing up on his own one day and has done it since) he sometimes has an accident at home but who doesn't and he doesn't pee the bed if he doesnt drink after a certain time, so in that department he isnt having any problems.. I have tried everything to get him to poop in the potty but nothing helps I just hope that within the next couple of months something just clicks and he starts doing it..

Oh What A Day....

**CAUTION THIS IS A VERY LONG AND RAMBLING BLOG, BUT IT IS PRETTY FUNNY**Here it goes let me tell you about my the day I had.. I knew it was not going to be good right from the start.. -First it doesn't matter what I do or how long I take to get ready I still end up looking like a bag lady, make up looks horrible hair a mess clothes look good on the hanger but once they go on ehhh but that is motherhood so as I am pouring my son's juice in his cup some kind of voodoo comes over my hand and I spill half a bottle of juice down the front of me, the counter and floor.. While this is happening my son who has just gotten dressed says "mommy I got milk all over me" oh great so now not only do I have to clean the kitchen change my clothes that took me 20 min. to pick out I have to change his clothes too.. -Just then my mom calls me to let me know she is ready and on her way, ok lets see if I can get all of this done and the rest of what needed to be done before she gets here.. Now as we are putting things in the car to leave the neighborhood cat jumps in the car with us like he is going somewhere which prompts my son to scream "want to hold the kitty on my wap while we ride" hmmmm just as the cat jumps out of the car I am trying to explain that the kitty can't come with us my son is yelling "want kitty kitty to come, want kitty kitty" oh sweet jesus help me... -As my mom goes to leave I realize the juice cup that ruined my whole day is STILL SEATING ON THE COUNTER IN MY KITCHEN... -After we get to where we are going which happens to be a craft show, not my son's favorite place to be I get out the go to for situations like this my NOOK buuuuuttttt it doesn't want to work REALLY!!!! So the melt down begins after about 10 min. I FINALLY get it to work thank goodness.. As we are leaving my son decide to climb in my mom's truck by himself which I was very excited about just not that he got mud all over his khaki pants since we are supposed to get pics with the easter bunny later in the day.. -Get to another sort of craft show but smaller and decide to not put him in his stroller, WHAT AN IDIOT, I spent the next 20 min. chasing him all around, that mistake will NEVER happen again.. It was at this time he tells me "mommy my feet hurt you put wrong shoes on me" (he never does this so it must have been true) oh great I don't ever bring an extra pair of shoes so I get to listen to that the rest of the day, soon as we get to walmart (that is where easter bunny is) I have to take his shoes off.. -We look and look for easter bunny with my son asking the whole time "where easter bunny at mommy, where is he?" of course I don't know, "maybe he called in sick" I say, so I ask 3 different people just for them to tell me they didn't know if he would even be there but he was at the photo studio, oh here we go.. After the 100th time of my son asking we took him down to the photo studio we, were in HELL there was about 5 different people waiting kids running everywhere no one knew what was going on the easter bunny looked like he wanted to pass out but of course my son really wanted to see him soooo we waited.. It really wasn't too bad waiting to get his pic taken it was just bad waiting to look at them cause of course this was a studio so they have to try and sell you every thing but what you want, after about an hour I decided it was time to go and we would come back later, my son and mom were having nervous breakdowns so it was just best to go.. -Oh yeah forgot to mention when we left the last craft show and was going to walmart my mom's truck cut off on her in my head I as thinking "somehow this is going to be my fault" but it started right back up so crisis averted.. -Went a few more places then my mom (who I am sure never wants to go anywhere with us again) dropped us off so we can go back to the picture place.. It has been well over an hour so this should be done and a quick process right? WRONG!! I go back and my pics havent even been touched (they were super busy and it was only one lady by then but still good lord) so I set and waited with my shoe less child for another 20 min. while more photos are being taken but finally we get the pics paid for and we are on our way home after 9 long hours out and about.. Oh but it doesn't end there.. -Once home as you may know my son is potty training and refuses to poop in the potty so yes that means he does it in his underwear (he has been trained with peeing for 2 months).. He won't do it in public though so that is good but within 10 min. of walking in the door I hear "mommy I pooped", well I was waiting for that one so lets get that cleaned up then it was bath time where he decided to get water ALL OVER the bathroom floor (we are talking about the whole floor covered in water) so clean that up, brush teeth put pjs on all of that went pretty smooth.. -Everything was going pretty smooth until I realized my son had been too quite and anyone that has a toddler knows this is a sign of trouble, when I found him he had marker (he must have stashed one some where because he doesn't get them unless I am around) ALL OVER his arms, legs and face.. Just when I was about to have a nervous break down he says "wook mommy I was haven a marker party, I a mud monster" I just looked at him and laughed.. It was a LONG day for me but in the end I got a few nice things to decorate for spring, spent some quality time with my family and my son got to see the easter bunny all in all a good day of course if you would have asked me earlier it would have been the WORST DAY EVER!!!

03/14/13 Once upon a child-gymboree button up shirt 3.50, gymboree khaki shorts 3.50, skechers brown shoes 2.50, baby gap polo 2.80 and faded glory khaki shorts 3.50 (yes I FINALLY got some khaki shorts).. 03/14/13 Once upon a child cont.-thomas shirt 2.00, ralph lauren shirt 2.50 and childrens place polo 2.00.. 03/14/13 Crazy 8 clearance-elephant shirt 2.39, snowman sweater 5.60 (was so excited about this sweater it will be his christmas sweater for next year woohoo!!) and black tie shirt 3.19.. 03/16/13 Kmart clearance-Carpenter jeans 5.24, thomas shirt 3.74, fleece lined jeans 3.74, striped zip up sweater 5.24.. 03/19/13 goodwill trip-elmo mobigo game 10.00 new (usually 19.99), dora mobigo game 7.00 new (usually 19.99), nike shox 10.00 (got these off of the yard sale page), conair round ceramic brush 2.00 new and cherokee lace braclet 1.50 new.. Just wanted to put this out there yes I do one of these every week so it looks like I am a shopaholic but all I buy is clearance or from thrift stores or yard sales so I never pay full price for anything, when I share these posts with you it is to show that you don't have to pay ridiculous amounts of money for the things you want.. I really wish couponing would work for me but tried it and didn't have any luck so this is how I save money for my family.. Hope you enjoy!!

A Little Update.. TTC...

Well it has been 3 months of trying for baby #2 and I know that is not long but can't help to think it is going to be a long hard road.. It took 2 years to conceive my son but I did not track my periods or anything like that, just if it happened it happened kind of thing.. This time however I have been tracking my periods which I always thought my periods were not regular but they come every 31 days on the dot so that makes me worry because if we are having sex when I should be ovulating they why are we not getting pregnant? Going back to yes it has only been 3 months but some people can get pregnant the first month and most of the time if they are really trying can be pregnant by the 3rd month.. I am going to try and not stress out too much until it has been about 6 months if we get that far and have not gotten pregnant yet we may have a problem.. Not going to lie every month when my period comes it does make me sad and this is exactly why I didn't know about putting myself through this but I want my son to have a sibling.. So until then just wanted to check in with you and let you know it is not happening yet but I am just taking it one day at a time and enjoying the time with my son.. I have been doing just a little shopping may do a baby buys post with everything I have gotten so far (I know you are thinking just great ANOTHER haul blog lol) but I won't be doing those but every few months promise!! Wish us luck hopefully before June we will have some good news!!

All pants are garanimals and were 1.00 a pair, santa workshop shirt 1.00, angry bird hat with gloves 2.00 and monster hat 2.00 (my son has was too many hats but for the price had to pick them up).. 03/09/13 Walmart/Magicmart clearance/thrift store-All shirts garanimals 1.00 a piece (walmart clearance), reebok tennis shoes 9.97 (magicmart clearance) this is a big deal my son has only had 1 pair of new (bought in the store with box) shoes besides these but I have not been able to find him a white pair of shoes and he is getting ready to move up a size and needed them just got lucky I found them so cheap, phat farm white shoes 2.00 (thrift store) these are new never worn they are his size now but could not pass them up at that price.. 03/12/13 Goodwill trip-2 pair of angry bird pjs (one was new) 2.00 a pair and a bag of 7 jig saw puzzles 2.00 for bag (my son has already done most of them today by himself I am so proud).. Sorry!!! Thought this went up thursday but obviously it did not.. Another sorry for no cute and thrifty this week because we really didn't go anywhere and the few times we did it was just a play date and no need to show those clothes right? Promise to try and leave the house more this week so I can have some outfits to show next week and I am working on a few more blogs so be on the look out for those too!! UPDATE got my check this week from the consignment sale, drum roll please, I made 160.00 so that means what I bought was at the sale was basically free with a little extra.. Also Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

03/02/13 Goodwill haul-Wow mommy has been getting pretty lucky lately found these 2 new with tag target pure energy shirts at the goodwill for 3.75 each.. The white with flower print (which I LOVE and will be wearing for Easter!!) is still on the target website for 24.99 (full price).. There is a shirt that is make like the purple with colored leaves it was 12.48 on the website.. 03/02/13 Goodwill haul-All of these are new with tag the three sweaters are circo and were 2.00 a piece (these were regular 16.99), cherokee hoodie shirt 2.00 and circo dare devil shirt with cape 2.00.. 03/02/13 Goodwill/thrift store haul-Carters pjs 2.00, cherokee socks 1.00 (new), clifford books .10 a piece (at thrift store) and swiss gear brown shoes 4.79 (new)..

Meet Gilbert.....

Lets meet my son's new best friend (for now)... The other weekend my mom, son and myself ended up at the dollar tree one of my fave stores it is amazing what you can find in that place for a 1.00.. My mom took my son through the check out with her cause I was getting a few Easter things that I didn't want him to see as they were going threw my son saw a pair of google eyes (you can put them on your finger and make a puppet) he grabbed them, when my mom asked him what it was he told her "meme its a puppet and I just gotta have it".. My mom and the cashier lost it, so of course he got it and the rest of the day all he wanted us to do was put that thing on our finger and make it talk.. Later when we went to visit my grandma she asked him what it's name was and he told her gilbert, not sure where the name came from but thought it was hilarious.. So gilbert goes everywhere with us and he talks to him ALL DAY LONG best $1 EVER SPENT!!

3 Year Old Photographer...

For Christmas 2011 my son got a vtech kidzoom digital camera he loves taking pics with my camera but I was afraid he would break mine so the hubby and I agreed he would get his own camera for Christmas.. The thing never worked right from the start it messed up alot then the menu button stopped working so you couldn't even remove the pics and what is the point of a camera if you cant take pics.. I did try to remove one pic at a time after 1 hour only 100 pics had been removed he can take that many in 10 min. so that camera just got pushed to the side and he started after my camera again.. In my area on facebook we have yard sale pages were people put things up for sale you just post a pic with description and price then message one another pick a public place meet and pick up your item I have done this a few times and sold a few things.. I found a disny pix kid camera with mickey mouse on it of course I did my research on it like every time before I buy anything (don't want to get screwed) she wanted $10 for the camera (had everything with it instructions cord) on ebay and amazon they were priced at $80-$100 so I got a great deal.. It is so cute too the only thing is the flash is intense but I read you can fix that easily and my son LOVES it he has not stopped taken pics with it.. If you can get your hands on one of these cameras I highly recommend it!! Wanted to include a couple of pics this is one he took of the inside of the fridge love how mickey is pointing to the orange juice lol (it has a button you can put different disney charecters in the pic with you) my son loves doing this!! Here is one of his favorite subjects our dog he loves her and loves to take pics of her she is in most of them LOL.. This is a pic of what the camera looks like.. Very cute and just right for a young aspiring photographer!!

It's Spring Consignment Event Time!!!!... 2013 Edition...

I LOVE consignment events you can find some AWESOME stuff for really good prices!!! So this is my spring/summer consignment haul for 2013 I got a lot of really nice things and wanted to share them with you!! I only have a couple of events near me and they are 1+ hours away from me most of the time they are at different times so I always go to this one cause it is the best.. I also consign in this event so a friend and myself get to go in a day early and shop!! Of course I made a list of items that I needed here it is lets see what I got or didn't get on my list.. -Denim shorts -Khaki shorts -Comfy play shorts -Graphic and plain t-shirts -Polo shirts -Button up shirts -Pj's -Black Sandals -Tennis shoes -Books, toddler games and craft supplies My son has a lot of plaid shorts so just wanted to get a few more denim shorts and some khaki ones so here is what I got..Two pairs of baby gap cut off shorts one was 3.00 the other was 4.00, one pair a gymboree denim cargo shorts 2.00 and 6 pairs of comfy shorts to play in 4.00.. Normally by now I have his whole wardrobe for spring/summer but this year he needed some shirts.. Navy blue ralph lauren 2.50, red and orange ralph lauren both for 3.00, gymboree dog 2.50, baby gap curious george 5.50, baby gap yellow dino 3.50 and garanimals white skull 1.00.. More shirts... green childrens place polo 1.50, navy blue nick nack polo 1.00, baby gap grey dino 3.50, carters dig dad 2.50, cherokee polos grey bike and on back teal with pocket both for 4.50 and (not pictured because I forgot them) 2 button up arizona black/grey red/brown both 2.00 a piece.. This is the misc. pic of what is left of clothing and accessories.. Old navy panda pjs 2.50 (these look brand new), sponge bob pjs 2.50 (these look brand new), cherokee lobster shorts 4.50 (look new), skechers black sandals 2.50, childrens place black water shoe 3.00 (never worn), northside black sandal (never worn) and stride rite dino socks 2.00 (new).. Now the best part well to my son it is.. Alex lap pad 2.00, mobigo toy story 3 game 5.00, paint brushes 1.00, erasable crayons 1.00 (new), john deer book 1.00, wubbzy book .50 (this even had stickers), elmo potty book 1.00 (works great!!), (not pictured) 2 oswald books .50 a piece, clifford easter board book 1.00 (looks new), puppy clifford book .50.. uno moo game 3.00, new easter book with paint (going in his basket) 1.00 and red rover dog game 4.00.. Last but not least my son's current comforter set is starting to see better days (he has had it a couple of years) so I found this super cute set with 2 valances and two sets of sheets to match for 25.00!!! What a deal I couldn't pass it up!! So if you have been paying attention you will see that I got almost everything on my list except for the tennis shoes and the khaki shorts but I won't fret too much the goodwill is going to be my next stop.. For everything I paid 128.63 not too bad for 10 pairs of shorts, 15 shirts, 2 pairs of pjs, 3 pairs of shoes, 3 pairs of socks, 8 books, 3 games, misc. art supplies and a comforter set with valances and sheets.. Plus I consign so this will even out to little or no money out of pocket!! Did I mention I LOVE consignment sales?
