Thrifty Thursday 02/20/13-02/27/13... With A Mommy Twist!!!...

Goodwill Trip 02/21/13-grey stipe hanna anderson short pjs 2.00 (these are a bit big for my son this coming up spring/summer but they are hanna anderson so I had to get them anyways), blue stripe hanna anderson pjs 2.00 and eddie bauer rocket ship pjs 2.00.. Kmart clearance haul 02/27/13 and 02/24/13-I am usually not a nail polish person but when I found the opi kardashian collection in the clearance basket I had to pick them up the first day they were 3.50 a piece (normally about 6.99 which is waayyy too much for nail polish in my opinion) I got kim-pletely in love, disco dolls and have a heart (which is not in the kardashian collection but had to get it anyways too cute).. Then I went back a few days later and they were down to 2.00 (wish I had waited on the other now) this time I got khloe had a little lam-lam, follow me on glitter, sealed with a kris and its all about the glam.. I also picked up a few lip sticks cause I can not pass up clearance prices 2 nyc brand in mousse and fragile pink these were .50 a piece also got 2 revlon lip sticks plum and barely nude they were 2.00 a piece.. As you can tell this was the mommy twist!! Goodwill/walmart clearance/yard sale page 02/26/13-10 little critter books 5.00(yard sale page it is like craigs list but on facebook)had these when I was little so wanted them for my son, mickey mouse camera 10.00 (yard sale page) looked this up to make sure I wasn't over paying on amazon and ebay they were going for $80-$100 my son loves it, starter shirt 4.00 (walmart clearance)I use these as a swim shirt, 2 packs of 3 socks 2.00 a pack (walmart clearance), skull necklace 5.00 (walmart clearance) love it another mommy twist, I bought a bag of stuff at goodwill for 2.00 it has some small toys for my son (not pictured) and 3 stampers (dog, butterfly and heart) for scrapbooking or crafts, new pack of colored pencils, new in pack scissors, new pack of pencils (not pictured) and little notepads well worth the $2 I spent on the bag!!!

About a week ago my son brought me his diaper and told me he didn't want it I said "do you want a clean one?" he said "no more diap" I was blown away and very excited.. He did very well the first 2 days with going pee pee in the potty he only had a couple of accidents but after he got used to it he did good and is still doing good with the pee pee part he has a few minor accidents when he doesn't let me know he has to go soon enough but going #2 not so much.. He hates to poop in the potty I didn't pay attention for the first two days but then I realized he hadn't went #2 so of course I had to give some medicine (back story my son has had bowel movement problems ever since he was born they say it is normal but I hate to see him in pain) to help him along once that happened, oh lord it has not been good he goes in his underwear.. I have a whole new respect for women who cloth diaper don't know how they do it but as for me it has been horrible he just will not #2 in the potty I thought about just letting him run around commando but my husband said he would just poop on the floor.. Don't get me wrong I am happy he is using the potty he tells me when he has to pee pee and he goes through the night with out getting wet if he would just go #2 then everything would be perfect (not true something else would come along but it would make me feel better for him to be completely trained).. He also stands up to pee pee (this made me a little sad he is becoming a big boy now not a baby).. So I guess everyone was right when he was ready he let me know and now I don't have to worry about him going to school in diapers well not completely yet but he can't still be pooping in his underwear in 6 months right?

02/10/13 Goodwill haul-Ding dong board game .95 (this still had the cellophane around it and sells for $20-$40 online), octopus fishing game .95 (was missing one octopus but my son went crazy over it), 2 books .50 a piece, splash ball sling shot 1.25 (new in package), drum stick toy .95, mossimo sandals 3.00 (never worn still had elastic holding them together), russian santa nesting dolls .95 (all pieces were there and it was signed and numbered) and a cherokee button up layered shirt 2.00 (new with tag regular price 10.00).. 02/13/13-Goodwill/kmart clearance haul-Cherokee button up layered shirt 2.00 (new with tag regular price 10.00), circo rock star shirt 2.00 (new with tag), 3 nyc nail polishes .50 a piece (kmart clearance), cardinal statue .95 (new) and spot book .50.. 02/13/13 Goodwill haul-black cherokee sweater (regular price 14.99), biege cherokee sweater (regular price 14.99) and navy blue, lime green and cream stripe cherokee cardigan (regular price 12.00) all 2.00 a piece (new with tag).. Hope to get back to doing my son's cute and thrifty outfit of the day this week and working on a few other blogs hope to have them up soon sorry it has been a week..

01/31/13 Goodwill/thrift store haul-brown cordorouy pants (thrift store 2.00), red/grey/white cato shirt (goodwill 3.75), ecko black jeans (thrift store 1.50) and old navy jeans (goodwill 2.00)..

02/06/13 walmart clearance-walmart has their winter clothes on clearance so I picked up a few pairs of the pj's (always have trouble finding them) one thomas and the buzz light year ones were 3.00 a pair (these have short sleeve shirts and pants) and the other thomas and elmo ones were 3.50 a pair(these have long sleeve shirts and pants)..

02/06/13 walmart clearance-All of these were 5.00 a pair (these are long sleeve shirts with pants) if you get a chance you may want to check them out the garanimals pants and some shirts were 2.50 and the thick winter coats were 9.00 (I will be going back to get them later this week) this is how I usually shop since it is so much cheaper to buy things for the next season..

Curious George Is Where?....

My son has been in love with clifford the big red dog the past few months but lately he has been asking for curious george (the little monkey) which can be found on netflix but he can only watch it in our living room which when my husband is home would be impossible.. The other night he told me he wanted to watch it and I told him he couldn't watch it right now he would have to wait it wasn't on his tv and he told me "mommy it is on PBS" I was shocked.. Sure enough I checked and it sure does but how did my 3 1/2 year old know that?

01/30/13 Goodwill/Thrift store haul-No call black lace shoes (goodwill 3.00) these were never worn and still had price tag for 19.99, Geoville building set (goodwill .95) these are selling only online between $20-$40, black/white/purple cato shirt (thrift store 2.00) this looked like it had never been worn, levis jeans (thrift store 1.50), polo sweater (thrift store 1.50)..

01/28/13 kmart clearance haul-Till sunday they are having 40% off of the clearance price so I got my son 4 shirts and 3 pair of pants for next winter they were regular priced 5.99 (or 2 for $8) they were clearanced down to 3.99 so I got them for 2.39 (what a great deal).. My son had the same pants this year and he loved them they are very comfy and a nice change from wearing jeans all the time.. The shirts are really cute too I loved the graphics my store had alot of different ones I am waiting for the sweaters and coats to go cheaper they keep dropping the prices and doing the 40% off till the begining of march so you can get some really great deals if you keep checking back!!
