Hello thrifty mommas!! This is a very old goodwill haul that I forgot to post but there are some great items so why not post it now. This is probably from the late summer early fall. In the first pic there is a smithsonian magic rocks kit (new in box) 1.99, knex set 1.99 and 2 books that was .10 a piece. The second pic is all new in package items bag of beads (for slime) 1.00, flexi game .99, slime mix in set 1.29, squish ball .59, play doh set .99, blaze ball .59 (this was new too) and frog glow stick .59. I love it when I can find new in package stuff, like I have said before I use these items for gifts and rewards. This was another awesome haul, that is why I love goodwill!

Goodwill Bag O Random Find... Rebecca Minkoff Girl Power Keychain.. NWT

Hello thrifty mommas!! I found this very random item in a bag o random at the goodwill a few weeks ago. I bought a bag of dolls (I have a doll blog that you can check out if ya want to) and it had a few girly items in it too. It had new in package chapstick and nail polish for little girls and this keychain. I could not believe when it said it was Rebecca Minkoff and was new with tag with a msrp of $38! I found it on poshmark for $50 but I know it is not worth that much but it could be worth $20 and since the bag it came in only cost me 2.59 I think that is a good deal!

Goodwill After Christmas Haul....

Hello thrifty mommas (do you like my new opening line??)!! Thought it would be fitting to do a goodwill haul for my come back post, I mean by now it is almost a requirement. This haul is from a couple of weeks but most of it was purchased the day after Christmas (yes I was in goodwill the day after Christmas, don't judge).  For some reason I always find a lot of nice toys new in box or package at this time of the year, I guess kids got this stuff last year and never used it so parents are shipping it out for the new. I don't think we have anything gifted in this house that wasn't opened but you know everyone is different.
The prices on these items was great too. I can use these for gifts for my own kids or for birthday presents for other kids in our family! First we have a glowing science lab for 1.99, a mind blowing science kit for 1.99 (I have seen this on amazon for 11.99) and a propulsion rocket for 1.99 too (I almost bought this for my son for Christmas how funny).
In the second pic we have two gravity mazes that was 3.99 a piece. A little story about those (of course) that is also a toy I was going to get my son for Christmas but I could not find it for less than $30 anywhere and he had so much already I decided to wait. Glad I did, cause I got if for 85% cheaper than I would have. Also in this pic is a rock dig set (he loves these things) for 1.99.
In the last pic there is a galaxy slimy gloop kit 1.29, a slime lab kit for 1.29, paw patrol figure for 1.29 and a flying disc (made of stretchy silicon) for 1.99. I will use some of these items for their Easter baskets and some for rewards and things. I was happy to find all of these items especially the mazes! I love a good deal, and am not afraid to use these items for gifts at all because they are brand new and that saves us a lot of money. Guess that's why I am the Economically Thrifty Mommy!

Well.... A New Year's Update???

Well.... Hello everyone.... It's been a while but are you surprised? It got to be that time of year when I can't seem to get even the most basic things done. I am not sure what happens in the month of October I guess that is the start of the holiday season. My boys both have autism that has been talked about in previous blogs so once they are in school it gets a little hectic. This year was especially hard because both of the boys had some issues and I got calls a few times a week. So that left little time for me to get other things done.
Plus I am not sure what to do with this blog anyways. I thought about an autism blog but sometimes I am not in the greatest of places with that and I don't know what to talk about when it comes to that anyways. Then I thought about just doing thrifting but again most of the time I it gets hard to blog my finds and I am really trying to scale back what I buy. Not saying that I will not be thrifting I will still be going a few times a week I am going to try my best to not buy everything I see. Some days are better than others with that too. I also thought about a hoarders theme or I should say a I am trying to get my hoarder tendencies under control but again that can't be a whole blog. So where does that bring us? I'm sure you have guessed it by now, I am going to put them all on here! Or at least I hope to, I always have grand plans to write a couple blogs a week and do good for a month or so but then, good ole depression kicks in and then it's six months or a year (Yes I have went over a year without blogging before).
If I don't end up posting like I want it is ok, I have learned to cut myself some slack. My life can be hectic and hard sometimes and it is ok if I have to be to myself but I hope you enjoy what I bring to you this year and I hope the New Year has found you well and of course the Happiest of New Year's to you!
