Mail Call.... AIMEILE Nail Art Kit-Amazon Buy

     Hello thrifty mommas!! I have ordered a few things this past week to bring me some joy. I am hoping to actually keep my nails painted (I really do not do enough self care) and I thought this stamp kit would be fun to try. I found it on Amazon for 9.57 after tax. 

     In the kit you receive latex tape (put it around your nails so you don't get paint on your skin). Two types of silicon stamps, two scrapers and five metal stamp plates. I was surprised to see metal stamp plates and they had a blue wrap to protect them from scratching. The reviews were mixed (as they usually are) but there was a lot of positive I do wander sometimes if it isn't user error with some of the negative reviews, so I am going to give it a chance. I will do an update after I use it a few times to let you know if it is worth it! 

Yard Sale Find.... Michael Kors Brookville Large Leather Shoulder Bag

     Hello thrifty mommas!! Seems like this is going to become a purse blog.... Not surprised it has been a lot of different blogs in my 8 years of being on blogger. As I mentioned in my previous post I got to go to a few yard sales this past weekend. I had some purse luck as you can see. It's like that sometimes, sometimes I find the same items all at the same time. Other times I go months without finding anything. Think that is why I love thrifting cause you never know what you are going to find.
     Along with the crossbody bag I got lucky and found this Micheal Kors brookville leather shoulder bag in brown for $30! This is an "older" bag but it is beautiful, I love the feel of the soft peeble leather. It is in almost new condition just like the crossbody. It was owned by an older lady I do not think she carried it very much. In my research I found that this bag retailed for $298 and the last one to sell on ebay sold for $79, I do believe that is a great deal. Again I usually do not spend that much at yard sales but I have wanted Michael Kors bags for a long time and I feel this bag will go with anything and it was worth the price. Can not believe how luck I was to find not one but two Micheal Kors bags in one day!

Yard Sale Find... Lily Bloom Owl & Paisley Print Tote Bag

     Hello thrifty mommas!! This weekend I got to finally got to a few yard sales, it has been so long. I am hoping that more people decide to have them, as long as we social distance and wear masks I do not see the harm. As you can tell by the past few blogs I have written this weekend was the purse/bag weekend.
     I found this Lily Bloom owl and paisley tote bag for only $4! It was in amazing condition, no rips, stains or marks. It looks like the tote wasn't even carried. I bought this to replace the bag I carry with my son's snacks and toys in when we go out. Of course I love owls so when I seen this bag I wanted it. In my research for this bag I found that it retailed for $79 (which I am not going to lie I was surprised about that) and the last one to sell on poshmark sold for $42. Looks like I got an awesome deal. Fun fact.... I got this tote and the crossbody Micheal Kors from the same lady, she said they belonged to her daughter. Look like her daughter and I have the same taste, may have to keep an eye out for her the rest of the year.

Walmart Beauty Box..... Spring 2020

     Hello thrifty mommas!! Finally got my walmart beauty box for spring at the end of June! That is totally normal, I will get the summer one in September 🤷‍♀️ I do want to clarify something from my last post, I decided to go through my old beauty subscription posts and found a couple walmart ones. I said in my post for the winter box that I had never been disappointed.... Well..... Guess I forgot Fall of 2018 (or I guess summer since it was in october) I was very disappointed. There was a lot of paper samples in that box) but I will say this year I have been happy with all my boxes. 

     In the spring 2020 box that was $5 (for shipping the box is free) I received, a NYX #thisiseverything lip gloss a sample of natural calm. A Hello brand charcoal tooth brush (excited to try this) and Hello brand toothpaste. A deluxe sample of head and shoulders body wash (will be good for travel, when we get a chance to go anywhere again and a sample of biore rose quartz daily face wash. As you can see this was a great box too only one paper sample everything else was full size or deluxe sample size. 

Yard Sale Find..... Michael Kors Hamilton Traveler Medium Fawn Saffiano Leather Messenger Crossbody

     Hello thrifty mommas!! Hadn't shared a post in a while but of course everything has been upside down crazy for a while now too. I actually got to go to a few yard sales this weekend and was very happy to find a few items I couldn't live without. I am trying to be more selective with the items I purchase because my home was starting to look like a thrift store. Of course I did tell myself if I seen anything that I could not live with out it was ok to get it. I only bought 5 things this week and few items for my boys (they were with me and picked a couple things out). The majority of my items was purses as you will see with my next couple of blogs.
     I found this beautiful Micheal Kors hamilton traveler saffiano leather messanger crossbody purse in the color fawn for only $25!! It looks brand new not even a mark on it! I was so excited to finally find a Micheal Kors purse, I have wanted one forever and could never find one at a good price. Most of the time at yard sales they want $40+ for a used bag that has a lot of flaws. Of course $25 is a lot to pay at a yard sale for me but I have been saving a lot of money not being able to thrift shop so of course I talked myself into buying it.
     This will be my new everyday bag now and I am excited to carry it! In researching this bag I found out that the original retail price for this was $248! The last one on sold on ebay was sold for $91! Seems like I got a great deal and I also think that this bag if rare to find. It took my a while to find it on google and there was not a lot in this color with the chain strap, in fact I think this is the only one of these purses to have that chain. I love this bag and am glad I talked myself into buying it.

 

Walmart Beauty Box.... Winter 2020....

     Hello thrifty mommas!! Better late than never, thought I would show you my WINTER 2020 walmart beauty box. I have had these pics on here for a while (actually since early April, it takes walmart forever to get these boxes out) just now taking the time to write the post. If you don't know Walmart has what they call a beauty box subscription that comes out for every season (so 4 times a year) that cost $5. Now they say you are not paying for the items in the box you are paying for the shipping. I used to get ipsy and sephora but I canceled those, they seemed like a waste to me but I love this walmart box. I think for the price you pay you get some awesome stuff. 

     In this winter 2020 box I received 5 items (well technically 6 cause I got a 2 pack of lip stuff). First is a two pack of the NYX butter gloss in two pink shades that I do like a lot. An earth to skin watermelon face mask and a color club nail polish (it is a dark shimmer blue). Lastly is a sample of jergens lavendar lotion and colgate toothpaste. Seems to me that $5 is a pretty good deal considering you get three full size products in the box. There are people that complain about the box but I have never been disappointed. You do have to wait when you sign up for when the ship and most of the time you do not get the box till the next season. I got this box at the end of March and my spring box which I will be posting soon came just this week. Like I said for the price I don't mind waiting to get it. It is nice to get a little surprise every few months! 

Goodwill Spotlight Find.... Rae Dunn by Magenta Tick Tock Ceramic Birdhouse Clock

     Hello thrifty mommas!! My goodwill has been closed down for a little over 2 months. I just opened back up this week and let me tell you it was crazy in that place. I did not have a lot of luck but I did find this cool find. this it the Rae Dunn tick tock ceramic clock in the shape of a house. I thought it was so cute and would look great in my livingroom. It still had the price of 14.99 on the back but I only paid .99!! Some stuff was a little over priced so I could not believe they had that marked so cheap. This exact clock is posted online for $32, that is crazy glad I had a little bit of luck.
