Walmart Clearance Haul..... 365 Kids by Garanimals School Clothing Haul 2

Hello thrifty mommas!! Went back to the boys clearance at walmart  the other day and picked up a couple more shorts for $3 and a cute rain jacket for $5. There was still some things left but I must have gotten to the sale when they first marked them down last week. Like I said in the last post, wanted to get these out sooner but I could not so I am hoping you can still find some deals.

What's In The Bag??.... Yard Sale Find $1 Jewelry Surprise Bag

Hello thrifty mommas!! We haven't had a bag opening in a long time so I am way too excited for this. Went to some yard sales this past weekend, so glad those have started up again! This $1 bag of jewelry caught my eye soon as I seen it. It looked like it had a lot of interesting items in it. I was not disappointed at all. As you can see by the pics there was a lot in that little bag.
A buxton change purse, new keychain and 3 shell bracelets (butterfly, elephant and dogs). A few necklaces (one is a sterling silver photo ball I can't find that one under $65!!) and some bracelets, rings and other items. All in all I think my $1 investment paid off, I really love the shell bracelets those where the main reason I bought the bag. I love buying random bags to see what I can find!

Walmart Clearance Find.... 365 Kids by Garanimals School Clothes Haul

Hello thrifty mommas!! I recently found myself in the walmart boys clothes clearance section had just "had" to pick up a few things for my youngest. I mean he NEEDS new school clothes, right?? Of course he does! (even though he has a closet full of clothes and I just cleaned it out)
All of these clothes are from the 365 kids by garanimals collection, I love this brand of clothes. They are super cute and affordable. They are also great quality, they wash well and when you find them on clearance it's a bonus.
All of the items you see in the pictures I either paid $3 for the sets, $3 for two pairs of shorts or the last couple of pics I paid $3 for each piece but they are so cute I couldn't resist. I wanted to get these posts up earlier but my laptop gave up so I am sorry, I hope your local walmart still has these great deals!!!

Nature is Beautiful.... 17 Year Cicadas Come Out in the South

Hello thrifty mommas!! If you did not know I live in the south and about a month ago my boys and I got to witness the beauty of nature. We got to see the cicadas that come out every 17 years and they only stay out for around 2 weeks then they go back into hiding. I was glad to share this experience with oldest son because next time they come around he will be 28 (hopefully he will remember this experience and maybe have a child of his own to share it with)!!! I just made myself really sad, time flies by way too quick, that is something you really learn when you have kids. He loved the experience, he has a love for bugs and plants so this was very exciting for him.
It was also an amazing experience because we were at my grandparents home in the country (it seems they only like to come out in the country because we live closer to town and did not see any near our home). They have passed away but the house is still in the family, we were there with my dad also. I can remember being 5 years old when they came out  in 1986 (I missed the 2003 emerge, I was 21 at the time and did not give a damn, sad really but that is how life is) and my grandad showing them to me. Of course me being the girly girl I was, it did not impress me at all. Now it holds a special place in my heart cause I was spending time with my grandad. I loved it up at their house, they had chickens, cats, dogs and lots of land to run it. It was a good childhood so when I can share the same experience with my kids it is amazing. Just like these creatures that only make an apperance every 17 years.

Farmer's Market Flowers-Week 3!!

This is week 3 of my farmer's market flowers. I got these last weekend, they were $10! There are 2 bottles with a homemade twine ring. I love these colors and variety in these bundles. They also put mint or eucalyptus leaves and it makes them smell so good! I have really enjoyed the farmer's market the past few weeks, ours is on the small side but I can always find something!

Vintage Find... 1987 Mead Rooster Tail Fashion Collection New in Package Notebook/Binder Set

Hello thrifty mommas!! I went to my local goodwill over the weekend, they have slowed down a lot since reopening and of course they have not had a lot since then either. I did happen upon this set of vintage stationary and of course could not leave it there!
I am sucker for anything 80s/90s because those are the decades I grew up in (I was born in 81, yes I am aware that makes me almost 40, let's not talk about it). Also I am a sucker for vintage stationary items.... What am I not a sucker of?? So when I seen this 1987 Mead Rooster Tail Fashion Collection new in package set of notebooks I had to get it!
For the bargain price of 1.99 I got a binder, notebook and note pad in a tropical material print. The packaging is amazing with the 80s fashions. I have no idea how they kept these together for all this years. The notebook and note pad are not attached at all but they are still together somehow. I also noticed that the metal clips of the binder looks to be moldy (not good) or rusted (also not good) I am going to have to remove the packaging to see if I can clean it. I plan on reattaching the packaging after I clean it up. Cause I may be selling it but even if I don't it will display better with it. This is the type of items that I love to find when I am thrifting. I amazes me to see who something can stay in a package for 33 years, where was it? Why was it never used? Did they buy it on sale thinking they would use it but never did? The possibilities are endless.

Mail Call.... quirkygingeruniques Mystery Box from Etsy

Hello thrifty mommas!! Yes, I bought another mystery box from etsy. This is from the shop
quirkygingeruniques (Link to Store). This is A mystery grab bag of random shop items with minor imperfections. It was 13.00 plus tax and you got five items.
In my box I received a sensory putty that smelled like eucalyptus, a resin lego man key chain a bead air freshener with a hawiann scent. I also received two jewelry pieces, a pair of feather earrings and my favorite item out of the box a bracelet that says "never the less, she presisted" I love this saying. If you have read my other posts you know both of my boys have autism and that quote is our life for sure.
I did enjoy opening my surprise box and plan on getting a couple more in the future. This shop seems to have a good selection of various items. They aren't a one trick pony with only one type of items they sell. I always think that is a good thing when you have more of a selection of items. This shop seems to have some unique things and is worth checking out!

Wild Flowers from the Farmer's Market...

About a month ago my local farmer's market opened back up, it is usually open in late march early april but with the pandemic it had to be postponed. My son, Mom and I went to the opening day and was very impressed with what people had brought but my favorite item we purchased was this vase of wild flowers. My son found them and asked my mom to get them for me ❤ He is so sweet! They were only $5 and so so pretty! Wish I could grow flowers in my yard but alas we have crappy clay soil and can not ever get any flowers to grow. Guess I will just have to keep looking at the farmer's market when I can to get me some pretties for my table.

Mail Call..... Mystery Package from RetCon Craft on Etsy-Handmade Jewelry

Hello thrifty mommas!! I have been in quarantine for over three months now, I have only bought my son's birthday presents offline. Most people have done nothing but shop online. I decided to find a few mystery packages from ebay or etsy. I wasn't looking for anything in particular just a surprise for fun. I bought three but the one I got off of ebay refunded my money. Atleast this one showed up.
I found this on etsy it is from the shop RetCon Craft (her is a link to their shop) they make mostly handmade jewelry. I got the large bag that came with 7 items and was 8.00 plus tax, I think they are 7.00 now. I was really happy with my bag! My favorite piece was the green crystal with the floral bracket, it is so pretty I love that jade green color. It was meant for me to buy this bag! I only got one duplicate items (the wolf necklace) but that is ok I can give that to my friend she will love it.
I plan on purchasing from this shop again in the future, they shipped very quickly and their items are very nice quality. They are very reasonably priced as well, they have other items in their shop you can purchase as well but I wanted a fun surprise and that is what I got!

Goodwill Find.... Sakroots Spirit Desert Crossbody Purse and Wallet

Hello thrifty mommas!! I have yet another purse find to share with you, got this set at goodwill for.... $4! The purse was $3 and the wallet was $1, they are in amazing condition, hardly any wear on either piece. They do have a faint cigarette smell which I do not like but I am hoping I can air it outside in the sun to get rid of the smell.
This is a sakroots small crossbody and ipad folio bag in the design spirit desert ivory with matching wallet. It was brought out in 2014 with this as the theme from the sakroots site "Spirit Desert has a tribal-Americana theme and features an owl, signifying wisdom and sacred knowledge". I could not find the original price but did find a few for resale all around $30 for just the purse. The wallet retailed for $40 by itself and can be found on resale for around $25. If the wallet was $40 I would say the purse was around $65. I guess my $4 for the set was a deal even with the faint smoke smell.
