New Year... New Me.... Decluttering My Life-Clothes

Hello thrifty mommas!! I have been decluttering my house here and there, because I have some form of adhd I make it harder on myself and just go all over my house instead of working on one place. Why make it easy on myself?? Anyways..... This is a post to share the clothing items I got rid of from my room and both of my boys rooms. Also I just took 2 large black lawn and garden bags of my boys clothes last week so this is just what I decided to get rid of since then. I filled up one more large lawn and garden bag to the top.

New Year.... New Me.... Necklace Declutter

Hello thrifty mommas!! If you didn't know I am a hoarder that will be said a lot in these decluttering posts. I used to LOVE necklaces and bracelets, then I had kids and they like to pull on those types of things so I quit wearing my jewelry. My youngest son still loves to pull on my necklaces so I do not get to wear them still but at one point I thought maybe I will get to wear them again so I kept all of these necklaces. I have went through my jewelry before and got rid of a few things but never this much at one time.
The first pic is the mess that I started with, the second pic is the 13 necklaces I kept cause I really do love these and they "bring me joy" as Marie Kondo would say. The last pic is of all the 20+ necklaces I let go of, that was a big accomplishment for me and I can't believe I let go of that many but they did not make me happy. Also I thought it was so funny some of these designs I had (peep the elephant and the skull I was a rebel 15 years ago LMAO) it is really funny how your styles change over the years.
Even though I did not like these styles a year ago I kept them so that tells you how much I have set my mind to decluttering my life. I went through my bracelets in 2020 and got rid of quite a few of them too but believe me I still have more so we shall see if more of those can be purged (spoiler alert they can be). I am happy with how this journey is going and hope to keep it up. Notice how I bounce around never completing one room completely? I believe that is ADHD but I can not say for sure cause I am not diagnosed but you will see it is hard for me to stay on one certain task but atleast it is getting done right??

It's A Bath and Body Works Haul Y'all!!! Christmas 2021 Scents

Hello thirfty mommas!! I don't do a lot of in store bath and body works hauls (mainly cause I do not live near one) I don't get to the store much. I only buy it in store when there is a sale or a coupon, my mom had given me some Christmas money too so I bought myself a little something. I only spent $25 and believe me for what I got that is good. The pure wonder is one of my favorites right now but fairytale is nice too, you know I had to get my sanitizers and holder. I actually got the pure wonder for free with a coupon so you can't go wrong.

New Year.... New Me..... Decluttering My Laundry Room-Section 2-Dog Stuff

Hello thrifty mommas!! We are back at it again with the decluttering still in the laundry room but this time we are working on my dogs clothes LOL. As you can see she has way too many outfits but they are cute as can be, I get a lot of her stuff thrifting but that doesn't mean I need to keep buying it but again so cute.  I am happy with how much I donated and could not believe I got rid of any of them but I pushed myself and will show you what I kept when I do the organizing part!
In the first pic is the pile of items with some dog treats on the top. Second pic is of the items I am donating I got rid of 9 outfits, a hat, a neck cuff and a harness he can't wear. The third pic is of the couple things I threw away cause they was felt and not the best quality. The last pic is of some items that was in a bin beside her clothes that I am donating (except the flea collar I threw that away she takes pills for her fleas now).  I did pretty good this go around too, now I can get started on my second shelf and get it decluttered I am excited to keep this going and get my house cleaned out!

Salvation Army Find-Vintage Coach Willis Top Handle Satchel-9927

Hello thirfty mommas!!! I am super excited about this post today! I went to my local salvation army recently and found one of my grail items. I found this vintage leather coach purse! I have wanted a vintage coach for so long and they are a bit harder to find than dooney's but as usual the wait is worth it. This bag is in really nice shape for it's age (I believe it is from the late 90s). I happen to catch a glimpse of the hardware and was like, yeah that has to be a coach (it didn't have its tag so they didn't know it was coach).
I looked in and there was the creed I looked at the zippers and the stitching and made the decision it was real. I have figured out that this bag was made in August of 1999. I was so excited to pay the 3.99 they had on their purses but....... When I got to the register she only charged me $1!!!!! They was having a sale that day on purses how lucky was that???? When I got home and was looking it over better I found the coach tag in the back pocket!!! That was double lucky and I couldn't have asked for better luck from the thrift gods.

New Year.... New Me..... Decluttering My Laundry Room-Section 1-Wax Melts and Air fresheners

Hello thrifty mommas!! Ok, so I figured it would be easier to do this in sections since my laundry room has a little bit of everything in it. I want that room to be just for clothes and cleaning supplies (maybe that will help with me keeping my house cleaner, we can hope). Right now it is the place where things go to collect dust if they don't have a home.
This section I worked on today is where I was keeping all of my wax melts, candles and air fresheners. I had two separate bins with items in it. I got rid of over half of the items I had been hoarding (oh forgot to mention I am a bit of a hoarder but I am working on it) this is a real accomplishment for me. I have been holding on to some of this stuff (like the bath and body wallflowers) for years of course I was thinking well this is nice stuff I can sell it (think that is part of my hoarding issues I want to make money to thrift so I hang on to things for way too long).
Pic number two is what I am keeping as far as wax melts (I did get some for Christmas that is not here but you will see them later). The third pic is the items I am keeping from the other bin a few air fresheners and some wall plugs. Fourth pic is trash, ceramic lids to wall tart warmers that I don't have anymore, old essential oils, a box and some old yankee candle room deodorizers that did not smell good at all. The last pic is everything I am donating, wax melts, wall flowers, other wall plug refills, candles and oils. I am really happy with how much I got rid of and hope to keep on going. *P.S. while I was putting donations in boxes I got rid of a couple more things*

New Year.... New Me??? Decluttering and Organizing

Hello thirfty mommas!! Well it is the new year and like a lot of other people I have decided to turn over a new leaf or whatever. No I am not going to eat healthier or exercise more I am not even going to say that I am going to not thrift as much. What I am going to say is I have decided to start decluttering and organizing my house (notice I didn't say life because yeah right on that). I already went through my boys rooms the week after Christmas and sent a big box of toys and two big black garbage bags of clothes.
Now that is good for me because  a lot of that stuff I got rid of had been in their rooms/clothes for a long time. Mainly because I thought I could sell it at a yard sale or on my local yard sale pages around town. I mean I still could but the problem with that is I leave it stored away and don't list much, so I have decided to keep a few nicer things to sell but get rid of the rest and I can tell you I do feel good with what I let go of. Even though I let go of some nicer items I am glad they are out of my house.
How long will I stay on this kick? I am not sure I'm hoping to get my whole house, garage and building decluttered by the end of this year but we will have to wait and see how that will go. I usually start off the year great but then loss steam, I actually started last year off with a few posts of items I was taking to salvation army but of course I quit taking pics and making posts cause I got tired. I still decuttered I just didn't document it. So I guess we will see how this goes and maybe you can get some tips or ways for you to declutter or maybe you just like looking at others peoples messes I'm ok with that too!
